ROGERS CITY — A documentary viewing and live speaker event will be coming next Thursday and Friday to the Rogers City Theater.

The event is called LEADAIS Live. Adam Walker is the founder of LEADAIS, and his goal is to bring light to human achievement and leadership in a world rapidly changing from developments in artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Walker was born in the United Kingdom but has lived in Rogers City for about 10 years now. He said he’s wanted to host an event like this for years.

“I want to try and make it an annual event,” he said.

Walker said he is a communications consultant and speaker, and most of his work has been done by traveling to other places. This live event is an opportunity to bring speakers right to Rogers City.

There will not be any discussion about data centers or AI, but will be an opportunity to reflect and appreciate human leadership.

“Its important to lead into the human side of things,” Walker said. “We need stronger leaders in this sort of rapidly changing (world).”

LEADAIS Live will start at 7 p.m. both days, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. On Thursday, there will be a viewing of the documentary “Super Frenchie,” which provides an intimate look at the life of professional skier and BASE jumper Matthias Giraud, according to a description on the LEADAIS website. The film uniquely combines the thrills of some of the world’s most extreme sports with Giraud’s personal journey to tell a story filled with both heart and excitement. Following the documentary, the audience will be able to engage with Giraud in a virtual Q&A.

On Friday, the main event, speakers from across the country and world will give 10-minute talks, similar to TEDx style talks, Walker said. After the talks, there will be live, sit down interviews with each of the speakers.

The speakers include the following:

– Keynote speaker Joy Cooper, author, keynote speaker, and operations manager for United Airlines. Cooper will share her experience as the lone survivor of a fatal plane crash.

– Featured speaker Adam Lewis Walker, founder of Amplify Your Mission, where he helps people turn their ideas into speaking, publishing, and podcasting opportunities. Walker is a TEDx speaker, author, and award-winning host.

– Featured speaker Leslie Jones is a licensed clinical psychologist, author, speaker, and founder of West Michigan Psychological Services. She is from Holland, Michigan.

– Featured speaker Sachin Medhi is a business transformation leader, project management expert, and author. He lives in Belfast in Northern Ireland.

– Featured speaker Oksana Lukash, a four-time Chief People Officer, TEDx speaker, author, and advisor to CEOs, boards, and executive teams navigating growth, transformation, and change. Lukash grew up in Russia and now lives in Los Angeles.

Ticket pricing will include $10 for adults for the main event Friday, and $4 for teens for online registration. Tickets will be $12 at the door for adults and $5 for teens.

“If you’ve ever watched a TED talk this is the sort of thing you’d like to come to,” Walker said.

Anyone that graduated from school this year can get a free ticket if they contact Walker. He can be reached via email at AdamWalkerUK@me.com or at 989-351-7353.
