Glad Rep. Bergman stayed true to his word

Often in our society we focus on the negative things that politicians and public figures do. This isn’t entirely unfair since they did sign up for a job in the spotlight, however, I think it’s important that we give credit where credit is due. Jack Bergman is a retired Three Star General and in his first term as our Congressman.

Recently the Senate sent the House a $1.3 Trillion spending bill, which was laden with unnecessary spending, and absurd amounts of pork. Congress was given less than 20 hours to read a 2,232 page document. Not only is this irresponsible, but it’s just plain wrong. Jack Bergman told us when he ran in 2016 that he would oppose this type of spending and he kept his word last week when he voted no on this “omnibus” bill. I’m glad Congressman Jack Bergman stayed true to his word. We knew that we could trust a straight talking Marine Corps General to stick to his word and do what’s right.
