Updated waste management plans good thing

Soon, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) will announce that it’s time to update the County Solid Waste Management Plans. Earth Day was the day before my 15th birthday and, finally, the state of Michigan will be seriously moving away from a garbage for land approach to responsibly and properly managing the treasures we throw away. The new plans will not provide for new landfill siting and will instead focus on and require a materials recovery approach. Organics will be removed and composted into rich soil. We have to stop Iranian terrorism immediately

Ali Khamenei of Iran has denied any involvement in the Hamas attack on Israel, even the U.S.intel agencies have stated that Iran officials were “surprised” by the attack. Guess what? I don’t buy that load of malarkey for a nanosecond. Time to say ‘stop’ to out-of-control spending

The Sept. 30 Alpena News contained a letter by one of its loyal Democrat subscribers with the title ‘Shutting down the government is not acceptable’. The letter noted that a shutdown would affect the Agriculture Department’s SNAP and WIC programs, eliminate funding for Title X grants for ‘family planning’ clinics (abortion clinics), cut Head Start programs, freeze childcare assistance, and cut Title I grants to schools serving low income or ‘disadvantaged’ background students. I have a solution for the divisions that are crippling our country. Let’s begin by dismissing all the court cases pending against Donald Trump.
