I applaud the current school board we currently have. Despite the political witch hunt by a politically motivated group of people seeking a recall, the Alpena School Board is showing every day that the education and success of our students is the most important goal to them. They mentioned the Mississippi Miracle program, that brought Mississippi from the bottom of the test scores to near the top in just a couple of years. Michigan is 44th people, do you understand? Almost the bottom and Mississippi has passed us by. Why? The Mississippi Miracle…I urge EVERYONE to look this up and do your research. Instead of hiring high priced consultants, paying $70,000 for AI and buying more Chrome books to replace teachers, why not try this PROVEN program. I am sure there are teachers out there that are eager to use the tools they were taught in college in front of students and be proud that they are actually making a difference in a student’s life and not just being a seat warmer in front of a class. This program will bring Michigan to the top 10 in test scores in America, Allow teachers to actually teach, allow students to believe in Education and the importance of it. What is being taught is CLEARLY not working, and if it is broken, fix it.
