ALPENA — The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for all of Northeast Michigan, with the worst weather expected to begin at 5 p.m. and continue through 7 p.m. Saturday.

Ten to 15 inches of snow and the potential for 60 mph winds could pummel the area through Saturday evening, the Weather Service said in its warning.

Travel could be impossible during the storm, the Weather Service says, with blowing snow making it difficult to see for several hours and secondary roadways likely to be impassible. The Weather Service says travel should be restricted to emergencies only through 7 p.m. Saturday.
