The Association of Lifelong Learners event update
ALPENA – The Association of Lifelong Learners (ALL) is hosting several, fun, entertaining, and educational events this week.
A Train’s Magical Journey:
From Ohio to MSU to the North Pole today at noon until 1 p.m. at the ACC Madeline Briggs Center 140.
Hear why the Pere Marquette 1225 is rightly called “The Real Polar Express” and “The Spartan Locomotive.” One of the largest steam locomotives to ever operate in Michigan, it was restored virtually by MSU students from a rusting shell to full operation and now runs in Owosso, Michigan. This is a Historical Society of Michigan History Hounds Virtual Lecture offered by ALL at the Madeline Briggs Center.
Writing Workshop
On Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 pm at the ACC Madeline Briggs Center 143 there will be a writing workshop series focuses on writing, sharing, and feedback. Everyone has stories, some are told, some are written, and some, like memoirs, are written to be shared with others. Mary Ann Krajnik Crawford has been a personal journal writer and teacher of writing for many years.
