Thunder Bay Community Health Service (TBCHS) Board of Directors announced that Interim CEO, Dr. Richard Bates, has been appointed as the permanent Chief Executive Officer of Thunder Bay, effective June 1. Bates has been serving as Interim CEO since March 2023.

Thunder Bay is a federally qualified health center that cares for nearly 19,000 patients and provides over 76,000 visits annually and proudly serves the residents of Montmorency, Presque Isle, Oscoda, Alpena, Cheboygan, and Otsego counties.
