ALPENA — Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union (AAACU) recently donated $1000 in sponsorship of the Alpena Farmers Market. This is an annual sponsorship that the credit union provides to the Farmers Market. Funds donated directly impact the community by supporting local farmers, encouraging healthy eating, educating the community, improving farmers market infrastructure and facilitating local events.

AAACU is proud to support organizations like the Alpena Farmers Market that support our local farmers and strengthen our local economy and broader community.

This donation is made possible by the credit union’s Community Investment Fund. These funds are dollars donated back into our communities thanks to credit union members who choose to receive their monthly statements electronically. The credit union pledges to donate

$9.00 annually for each of these e-statements accounts. In 2026, AAACU will donate up to $320,406.00 back into the communities they serve.
