Families and community members can stay up to date on school information via a new app released on Wednesday by Alpena Public Schools.

Downloadable on smartphones, tablets, and other devices, the app will notify parents about school cancellations and provide quick access to school calendars and lunch menus.

Users can subscribe to receive notifications from teachers, coaches, bus groups, and parents groups.
