Another Alcona County resident recovered

ALPENA — One more Alcona County resident has recovered from the coronavirus, local health officials said today, bringing to 142 the number of Northeast Michiganders who have recovered after being infected.
Of the 118 Alpena County residents infected with the virus since the pandemic hit Michigan in mid-March, 101 have recovered and 14 have died. Of the 19 Presque Isle County residents infected, 14 have recovered and one has died. Of the 11 Montmorency County residents infected, six have recovered. And, of the 27 Alcona County residents infected, 21 have recovered and two have died.
The state announced seven new deaths and 761 new cases statewide today, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,424 and the total number of cases to 99,200.
