Another Alpena County resident infected

ALPENA — One more Alpena County resident has tested positive for coronavirus infection, test numbers from local health officials show.

Test results from Thursday, available today from District Health Department No. 4, show 110 positive test results for Alpena County residents, up one from July 1.

Eighty-three Alpena County residents have recovered, and 12 have died.

No new cases, recoveries, or deaths were reported for Montmorency or Presque Isle counties in Thursday’s data.

Numbers for Alcona County, not updated since Wednesday, show still 18 residents confirmed infected, with five recovered and one dead.

According to the state website, updated today, three people in Michigan died since Thursday and 460 tested positive.

One short of 52,000 people have recovered in the state.

Of the Alpena County cases, MediLodge of Alpena is the source of 61 positive tests and nine deaths among its residents, and 31 staff members also tested positive.
