Radio station holds fundraiser to stay ad-free

LINCOLN –The radio station WXTF is holding their second annual fundraiser concert at the Lincoln Community Center from noon to midnight Aug. 4.

Serving Harrisville and Alcona County, this commercial-free station is holding the concert to raise support for continued ad-free listening.

A $10 donation gets you into the concert. Inside there, will be barbecue, live music and activities for kids during the day.

From start to finish, bands will be playing a wide variety of music, and the Poppy Cornelius Dancers will perform in between band breaks.

Lee Kitzman, known as DJ Easy Lee said, ” There are a lot of talented people, and it is a great place to bring the family,” Lee Kitzman, known as DJ Easy Lee, said.

Here’s the live music lineup:

Noon: The 45th Parallel Dulcimer group (Americana)

1 p.m.: Joel Choate Guitar Students (guitar)

2 p.m.: Joel & Cynthia (country/folk/EZ listening)

3 p.m.: Annie, Allie & The Tree Guy (country/folk)

4 p.m.: Jeffrey Claus (mixed genre covers and original music)

5 p.m.: Joe Thomas (solo covers/ EZ listening)

6 p.m.: Bandura Gypsies (original acoustic)

7 p.m.: The Money Gods (rock)

8 p.m. The Nads (blues)

9 p.m. Chris Crown & The Get Down Band ( folk-rock)

10 p.m. Blood Money Men (rock)

11 p.m.: Lost Carcosa (radio theater)
