This is just a reminder to join classmates in the 60th anniversary celebration for the CCHS Class of 1961 at the 19th Hole at 6 p.m. on July 31.

Lasagna dinner July 14 at First United Methodist

A lasagna dinner, dine-in or takeout, will be offered from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14 at First United Methodist Church, 167 S. Ripley Blvd., Alpena.

Volunteers will bring your dinner out to your vehicle.

The menu includes a choice of meat or vegetarian lasagna, green beans, garlic bread and dessert, for $10.50 per dinner.

Longbeards to meet Tuesday

The Alpena Longbeards will have their monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6 at the Moose Lodge on Werth Road, Alpena. The banquet is scheduled for September 11 at the Alpena Sportsmen’s Club; plans will be discussed and various items covered. Please attend so plans will go smoothly. AHS Class of 1953 to meet

The AHS Class of 1953 will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 13 at the 19th Hole for their regular monthly luncheon. The agenda includes planning a informal get-together for August — either a picnic or dinner. Join us with your suggestions.

Bridge results announced

Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced. Eve Phillips and Fred Woolman earned first place, Dale Middleditch and Mark Wolshon earned second, and Audrey Stevens and Linda Clegg in third place.
