ALPENA – Two Alpena High School varsity softball players have been named to the all-regional team, recognizing their standout contributions during the 2026 season.

Maddie Spomer was selected as an all-regional outfielder, while Paige Samp earned all-regional utility honors.

Spomer’s defensive reliability in the outfield and Samp’s versatility across multiple positions helped anchor the Wildcats throughout the year.

The All-Regional selections highlight top performers from the region and mark a strong finish for both athletes and the Alpena softball program.
