On the recycling increase in PI County
Whoa, hold on, wait a minute, WTF, as they say. Presque Isle County voters just approved an increase in millage to pay for recycling. Now, I see an ad in the local paper that (they) want to charge those same voters to collect electronics. How stupid do (they) think (we) are? Those electronics are loaded with gold. It all comes down to the County Solid Waste Management Plans.
Yes, they are outdated and fail to address 21st Century waste management technologies. However, it all requires effective leadership at the state and county level.
