The Alpena Public Schools IT department is monitoring networking and phone issues going on regionally, a Thursday press release from APS stated. Cell phone signals have been up and down and Charter and Frontier internet have experienced downtime as well. Currently Frontier is down, which affects phone calls in the district. At the time, no calls into or out of the district are working.
