A 4-year-old boy from Onaway was pronounced dead after he fell into the Sturgeon River in Wolverine on Monday.

According to the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the boy was at the park with his father when he fell into the river. After a search police discovered his body, pulled it to shore where first responders performed CPR, and rushed him to the Otsego Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
