Two new troopers will join the Michigan State Police-Alpena Post ranks following Thursday’s graduation ceremony in Lansing of the MSP’s 140th Trooper Recruit School.

Trooper Joshua LaCross, of Alpena, and Trooper Lyndsey Ryba, of Hillman, will report to the Alpena post in coming weeks.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer served as the keynote speaker at the graduation ceremony, which sent 50 officers to join the approximately 1,200 MSP troopers assigned statewide.
