Tuesday was flower planting day at Alpena Community College by Alpena Garden Club members and community volunteers. The flowers are grown from seed, starting in February, under lights, in a room on campus by Alpena Garden Club members.

A plant sale will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the ACC greenhouses off of Woodward Avenue to fund this project for next year. Plants for sale will include tomatoes, peppers, herbs and flowers.
