Man arrested in woman’s OD death
An Alpena man accused of causing a woman’s death was arrested last week, police said.
James Hayes, 42, was picked up by police after an investigation into the death of an Alpena Township woman who died from a drug overdose on April 13, 2018.
Hayes was arraigned Monday in the 88th District Court in Alpena, charged with delivery of controlled substances causing death, a felony punishable by up to life in prison, and tampering with evidence in a criminal case, punishable by more than 10 years.
Hayes is being held on a $100,000 cash surety bond.
