May 11

12:50 p.m. A report of horses loose in Loud Township was made to dispatch. Contact was made with the owner.

6:15 p.m. A resident requested a welfare check on multiple subjects at a residence in Briley Township. Deputies were able to make contact with both parties who were found to be okay.

May 12

2:39 p.m. Dispatch received multiple 911 calls from a cell tower in Hillman Township. There was no call back number, and nobody was speaking on the other end of the line. Deputies searched the area but did not find anything out of the ordinary.

3:16 A welfare check was requested for a female in Vienna Township. The female was found to be okay.

5:33 p.m. A resident in Albert Township reported damage to his property. A deputy responded to the residence and spoke with the complainant; after an investigation, the reports were unfounded.

May 13

10:18 a.m. A passerby reported a possible hazard involving construction workers near the roadway in Rust Township. A deputy responded, but the workers were not causing a hazard.

10:39 p.m. Multiple complainants reported a stopped vehicle with a male in the driver seat who appeared to be unconscious. Deputies responded and found the driver to be intoxicated; he was arrested for OWI and lodged at Alpena County Jail.

11:25 p.m. An MSP trooper attempted a traffic stop, but the subject would not stop. The subject drove off at a high rate of speed. The driver crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. One male was located and arrested on multiple charges; he was transported and lodged at ACJ.

May 14

9:00 a.m. A civil standby is requested in Loud Township at 5:30 p.m.. A deputy responded at the requested time.

1:26 p.m. A single-vehicle accident was reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded and a report was made.

May 15

10:50 a.m. A resident reported an unattended fire at a neighboring residence in Albert Township. The Albert Township Fire Department responded to the residence and were able to put the fire out.

12:54 p.m. A vehicle/deer crash was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

3:06 p.m. A resident of Albert Township reported the neighbor burning during a high fire danger advisory. The Albert Township Fire Department responded to the residence but were unable to locate a fire.

9:29 p.m. Deputies responded to a business in Briley Township after an assault was reported. Deputies spoke with all parties involved; an investigation is ongoing.

10:53 p.m. A resident in Albert Township reported her husband missing. After obtaining information on the vehicle and male subject, A be on the lookout (BOL) was sent to surrounding areas. The male was located.

May 16

12:04 p.m. A resident of Albert Township called to report multiple vehicles driving too fast near his residence. An officer responded to the residence to speak with the resident.

6:14 p.m. Hillman Fire Department responded to a residence after an alarm instructing the residents to evacuate was reported. No hazard was found.

7:04 p.m. Albert Township Fire Department responded to a residence for a lawn mower on fire. The fire was put out prior to their arrival.

7:10 p.m. A resident in Hillman Township reported a noise complaint involving a neighboring resident. A deputy was able to make contact with the subject who then agreed to turn down the music for the night.

10:29 p.m. A DNR officer conducted a traffic stop in Briley Township. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license, no insurance, and improper registration and was provided with a court date. JC Towing assisted with the removal of the vehicle.

10:53 p.m. While on routine patrol a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Hillman. The driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated. One male was arrested for OWI and transported to be lodged at ACJ.

May 17

11:35 a.m. A concerned neighbor called to report smoke coming from a nearby residence. Albert Township Fire Department responded to the scene; the homeowner was having a bonfire.

2:05 p.m. A deer vehicle was reported in Loud Township; a report was taken.

7:25 p.m. An erratic driver was reported to MCSO dispatch. The vehicle was reported to be swerving over the center and white lines and nearly hit guard rails. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After field sobriety tests, one female was arrested for OWI and transported to be lodged at ACJ.
