Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office moves dam area to ‘set’ stage, Thursday morning
The Cheboygan Dam Area, and north of Cheboygan Dam, moved to the level two “set” stage of the “Ready, Set, Go” model on Thursday morning, according to the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
This classification indicates the water level is below six inches of topping the lowest point of the Cheboygan Dam Complex, according to a Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
Level two indicates a high probability of needing to evacuate. The office advised residents to prepare by packing necessary items and preparing family members, pets, and vehicles for potential departure.
The office also reminded residents of the “6 P’s” of preparation which included “plan, personal items, prescriptions, photographs, pets, and papers.”
