Smith and Cain exchange vows

Bryan Cain and Colby Smith

Colby Smith and Bryan Cain were married on July 24, at the stunning oceanside campus of Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.

The couple originally planned to marry on April 23 in Paris, France, but changed their plans because of the coronavirus pandemic.

After exchanging vows, Smith and Cain celebrated with close friends at their Cape Ann home in Gloucester, Massachusetts. An additional celebration for family and friends will be held in September at their second home in Detroit.

The couple met many years ago as a result of dating profiles written by friends, and have been inseparable ever since their first meal together at El Barzon Restaurante in Detroit, which they still visit every few months when returning “home” to Michigan.

Cain, 35, is a vice president at Endicott College. He is the son of Karol Cain and the late Ken Cain of Alpena, who always referred to the couple as his “favorite sons.”

Smith, 30, is a well-known hairstylist on the North Shore of Boston. He is the son of Robert and Brenda Smith of Burton, Michigan.

Smith and Cain were proudly rescued by their two beloved Great Pyrenees dogs, Tucker and Bear. Both are perpetually disappointed that they were not able to attend their dads’ wedding ceremony due to their inability to sit or stay for more than 10 seconds.
