Weston and Jessica Kleyn

Jessica Marwede and Weston Kleyn were united in marriage in a lovely riverside ceremony at The Depot on Fletcher Street on Sept. 30, 2023. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Kyle Hall.

Jessica is the daughter of Janet Freeman and Alan Marwede of Alpena. Weston is the son of Kimberly and Stephen Kleyn of Grand Rapids.

Rachael Techel, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Madison Kozlowski, friend of the bride since middle school, Hannah Van Manen, friend of the bride in college, and Hannah Den Hollander, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaids.

Zach Eiter, a friend of the groom since basic training, was best man. Serving as groomsmen were Simeon Kleyn, brother of the groom, Diego Ferreira, a friend of the groom since deployment, and Joshua Den Hollander, brother-in-law of the groom. Jacob Neumann, brother of the bride, and Philip Techel, brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.

A cocktail hour and reception immediately followed the ceremony at the Depot on Fletcher Street, with music provided by the bride’s brother, Adam Neumann.

Jessica is a graduate of Alpena High School, Alpena Community College, and Central Michigan University. She is employed by Vista Charter Academy and teaches first grade. Weston graduated from Zion Christian High School and Davenport University. He is employed by Allstate Insurance Agency and is currently serving in the Army National Guard.

After a wonderful honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, they are making their home in Grand Rapids.
