Film Festival update

ALPENA — Every year, the Friends of Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary bring the world of cinema to Alpena.For five days in January, Northeast Michigan is treated to some of the most impressive ocean and Great Lakes films from around the world during the annual Thunder Bay International Film Festival. Film screenings are complemented by social events, educational activities, and opportunities to meet filmmakers.
The list of events and times are as follows:
– Jan. 21: Rogers Theater in Rogers City from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Jan. 22: Alcona County Library in Harrisville from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
– Jan. 23: Great Lakes Gala in Alpena from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
– Jan. 24: Matinee showings and Sanctuary Selections Film Competition from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
– Jan. 25: Matinees showings from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
