The Alcona County Library announced the following events for December:

∫ TODAY and DEC. 10, 17: Storytime and craft for children at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, 10:30 a.m. Call 989-724-6796 for more information.

∫ MONDAY: Craftomania for Everyone! Create a Sock Snowman with Terisa at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, 1:30-3:30 p.m. There is a $3 charge. Call 989-724-6796 to register.

∫ TUESDAY and DEC. 21: Knitting Klub & Crochet will meet at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, 1:15-3:15 p.m. All ages and levels are welcome. Call 989-724-6796 for more info.

∫ WEDNESDAY and DEC. 22: Children of all ages are invited to Homeschoolers at the Library for a fun and educational activity at the Alcona County Library in Harrisville, 1 p.m. Call 989-724-6796 for more information.

∫ THURSDAY and DEC. 16, 23, 30: Community Walking Club for Everyone will meet in the parking lot of the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library on Thursdays at 9 a.m. Call 989-724-6796 for more info.

∫ DEC. 15: The Alcona County Library Board will meet at the Harrisville branch, 2 p.m.

∫ DEC. 21: The Alcona Book Club will meet at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, noon-1 p.m. The selection for December is “A Christmas Memory,” by Truman Capote. Call 989-724-6796 for more info.

∫ DEC. 24: The Curtis Township Library will close beginning Friday, Dec. 24 and will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

∫ DEC. 24: The Alcona County Library and all branches will be closed for Christmas Eve.  The Curtis Township Library will also be closed.

 ∫ DEC. 25: The Alcona County Library and all branches will be closed for Christmas Day. The Curtis Township Library will also be closed.

∫ DEC. 28: The Teen Craft for ages 12-18 will be a T-Shirt Yarn Project at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, 2 p.m. Call 989-724-6796 to register for this free program.

∫ DEC. 31: The Alcona County Library and all branches will be closed for New Year’s Eve. The Curtis Township Library will also be closed.
