Life Chain Sunday, Oct. 3

The Life Chain in Alpena is part of a nationwide prayer chain including more than 1,600 communities. Join the local group from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3 to stand together with signs along State Avenue and Ripley Boulevard.

“Bring your family and join with Christians of all ages and denominations as we pray for one hour for an end to abortion and respect for life from conception to natural death,” organizer Mike Cornelius said in a press release. He and his wife Jeanne Cornelius are the coordinators of this event.

Signs will be available at Bob’s Muffler.

“It takes a lot of courage to be a witness for Christ and to be counter-cultural,” Cornelius said. “Pray for the strength to serve Him publicly and please join us.”
