Isabelle Renaud

Renaud’s art lovingly and skillfully depicts the beauty found in ordinary objects, items such as antique glassware, metal pots, flowers, vegetables, and landscapes that surround us.

Here is a sunflower oil painting by Renaud.

Renaud has collected awards for her work over the years, including numerous Best of Shows and the Mayor’s Art Award twice in Dearborn. She won the P. Taylor Award twice also in Dearborn. P. Taylor was the founder of Artists Society of Dearborn.

Renaud has a long history in art. She would draw in grade school and high school in Ontario, Canada. She married her husband, John, and moved to Michigan in 1959. She has studied with many professional artists in classes and workshops. Throughout the years she demonstrated oil painting art in events around Detroit. She was Docent at the Padzieski Gallery in the Ford Performing Arts Center in Dearborn for over 15 years.

She brought her French Easel to the gallery to create oil paintings to show people what was entailed. At one time, she was interviewed by a local TV station at the gallery as she was demonstrating her painting.

Renaud spends her years in Northeastern Michigan now, painting Lake Huron shores, Au Sable River and marshes and gardens. She is a member of the Northeast Michigan Artists’ Guild.
