ALPENA — Art in the Loft is offering new take-home kits, as well as a new type of group session for parties of up to 10, called RSVP Nights.

Art and cooking kits

You can pre-order your cooking or art kits, suitable for ages 5 and older.

Get smART art kits and Get Cooking culinary kits are designed for at-home visual and culinary arts entertainment. Every month a new experience will be available wrapped inside a convenient kit with all the supplies needed to create your very own visual or culinary creation. Every artist needs an apron and one is included in the first kit you receive, complete with a themed collector pin you can put on your apron.

Each kit will have a new pin matching your lesson, educational extras to engage your family beyond your masterpiece, and easy to follow instructions

Kits will be available at the beginning of each month. Orders are being taken now for kits that will be ready on Aug. 1. Pre-order today or register for a 3-month kit subscription. Get smART kits are $15 each, and Get Cooking kits are $20 each. Scholarships are available, and you can apply for one online.

RSVP Nights

RSVP Nights start Thursday, with three time slots offered for groups of up to 10 people: 5 to 6 p.m., 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., or 8 to 9 p.m. For $100 per group, enjoy a private visual art session surrounded by the SummerView 2020 exhibit.

Designed with your safety in mind, where you and nine of your friends will have the gallery to yourselves for one hour, to tour, take in and interact within the SummerView exhibit. Each experience will feature a local chef preparing delicious tastings or an artist performing demonstrations for a take-home piece of art. Beverages will be available to purchase while you enjoy this unique night.

The next two RSVP Nights are Aug. 6 (culinary experience) and Aug. 20 (visual art).
