For a delectable meal, great company and a creative outlet, head to Art in the Loft today for Foodie Friday, an interactive lunch experience.

Join Chef Reid Krebs as he guides you through your culinary masterpiece and the recipe that inspired it, all while you get hands-on in creating your lunch. Then dine in Art in the Loft’s unique bistro atmosphere or take your meal with you back to work.

For $15 per meal, you get culinary expertise, a gourmet lunch and a drink. Today’s menu item is California Rolls.

“You’re getting his culinary skills with our ambience,” Art in the Loft Education Coordinator Amanda Kuznicki said of Krebs. “It’s a great combination.”

Foodie Fridays will be held every other Friday with the same format, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

After moving to Florida in 2003 and completing his degree in business, Krebs worked in hospitality and soon realized his passions lie in the kitchen.

He worked under and studied chefs in Southern Florida, including five years at the prestigious Oxbridge Academy.

Krebs then relocated to Northern Michigan on a whim in 2015, becoming the chef at the recently closed As You Wish Gourmet Eatery.

Krebs has competed in Art in the Loft’s Tapas Takeover event, and he is well-known for his gourmet cuisine. Favorites include ramen bowls, sushi rolls, and cultural comfort foods.
