Vote no on Prop 2. This is a terrible prop that will lead to voter fraud and abuse Proposal 2 will amend the Michigan Constitution to: Allow nine days of early voting. What is the extra cost to the taxpayers for all these poll workers? Where are we going to find them? One day of voting and the ability to request an absentee ballot has worked well for decades. Why do I not like the “abortion” amendment, known as Proposal 3, Prop 3, or it appears on the election ballot, Proposal 22-3? Let me count the ways. At first glance, Prop 3 appears innocuous, giving a pregnant woman a right to make “all decisions about pregnancy.” But does this include using illegal drugs and alcohol while pregnant or engaging other reckless activities? Common-sense abortion laws are a must

This November we have a decision to make that is not based on our political preference, age, gender, or race. This decision will be based on the people of Michigan’s integrity and morals. As I was scrolling through Saturday’s paper, I was dismayed to see that the paper selected another cartoon ridiculing the Department of the Interior’s move to rename existing geographic features with derogatory names to names that better reflect those locations’ history or environment.
