He graduated from Alpena High School, Class of 1950. Surviving are two children, David (Theresa) Bartz and Michelle Bartz (Chris) Maron; three grandchildren, Torsten Bartz, Heidi Bartz, and Thomas Maron; and one sister, Marion (Robert) Lang of Hubbard Lake.
