To be clear: Pro-choice is not pro-abortion
I was disappointed to see this photo caption in Monday’s paper covering the rally on May 15 on Chisholm Street: “…Alpena County Democratic Activism Committee chairwoman fires up the crowd at a pro-abortion rally on Sunday…” Pro-choice does not equal pro-abortion. Abortion is not forced upon women, and giving birth should not be either. Choice needs to remain with women and their health care professionals. I personally don’t know anyone who’s pro-abortion but many who are pro-choice.
