The Alpena school board and superintendent are planning on selling ACES Academy. They plan on sending students needing smaller class size and more individual attention with less distractions back to AHS. This would be like going back to the 50s where if you can’t keep up, drop out. Many people in this community have graduated from ACES that would have been dropouts flipping burgers in my day.

The APS board meeting is scheduled on April 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be via Zoom to sign up for public comment and to participate you need to email the board secretary at kneeshawl@alpenaschools.com or call 989-358-5042.

Anyone who has benefited from ACES Academy and wants to ensure that this valuable program continues in its current location should participate in this meeting.
