On March 31, 2023, the good Lord opened his arms and welcomed Virginia Budreau into the gates of Heaven. Virginia Isabell Read was born on March 25, 1929, to Donald and Emma Read. She married Nelson (Bud) Budreau on Nov. 23, 1946. They had six children: John (Esther) Budreau, Dennis Budreau, Perry (Ava) Budreau, Rodney (Peggy) Budreau, Michael (Sharone) Budreau, and Sandra (Randy Lawton) Budreau. Clemens, Michigan, Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Donald and Violet (McDonald) Havel. Known for her generous and thoughtful nature, Mary was a true matriarch who always put her family first and maintained a positive attitude throughout her life. George Edwin Masters Sr., a lifelong resident of Alpena, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2023, at the age of 91. Born on July 28, 1931, to the late George and Madelyn (Pamerleau) Masters, George was known to friends and family as a true gem, embodying the qualities of his initials, G.E.M. Clare John Kaiser, 92, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Turning Brook Assisted Living Center. Clare was born Feb. 5, 1931, in Alpena to the late John and Edna (St. Charles) Kaiser. He served in the United States Army, serving 14 months in Korea. On Oct. 8, 1955, he married Geraldine Henski. She preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 2021. Clare worked at Besser Company for 37 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Eagles Club, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree and the Color Corps, and Alpena VFW Post 2496.
