Nelson Lee Thomson, 76, of Lachine passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Lee was born Dec. 19, 1946, in Alpena to the late Nelson and Marian (Nicholson) Thomson. He was a lifelong resident of Alpena and graduated in 1965. He served in the Air National Guard. Lee was a member of Thunderbay Island Preservation Society, Coast Guard Auxiliary – Army Veteran. YARCH, John, 88 of Rogers City, died at home on April 27, 2023. John is survived by his daughter, Jean Zampich; two grandchildren, John (Jessica) and Katie (Nate); five great grandchildren, and one sister, Ann Losinski, all of Rogers City. Friends may visit at the Beck Funeral Home on Friday, May 5th from 10 a.m. through time of his memorial service where the Rogers City VFW will offer a military tribute immediately following. Elsie E. Lumsden, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center. Elsie Esther Lumsden was born to George and Nina (McMillan) Lumsden in Long Rapids Township on September 5, 1929. She was a life-long member of Long Rapids First Congregational Church, a Sunday School teacher, and a regular attendee of Women’s Fellowship. Her natural talent and love for music led to playing the organ for Sunday church, weddings, and funerals for 65 years, along with gracing choirs with her beautiful alto voice. Phillip S. Jordan, 71, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at his home. Born April 28, 1951, to William and Laura (Shannon) Jordan in Flint, Michigan, he was a longtime resident of Davison. Phil worked for General Motors and retired after 32 years from Metal Fabrication. Phil moved to Lincoln in 2001, where he was a member of the Downtown Development Authority for five years, the Brownlee Lake Association, and of the Lincoln Lions.
