ALPENA — MyMichigan Health announced in a press release today that it is now affiliated with War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie.

The name of the hospital is changed to MyMichigan Medical Center Sault.

The partnership makes the hospital the tenth medical center in the MyMichigan Health system. The hospital in the Sault joins Alma, Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, West Branch, St. Ignace and Mackinac Island as medical centers within the health care system.

Alpena joined the system when it was MidMichigan Health in 2016.

The health care system, which has an affiliation with the University of Michigan Health System, rebranded itself in December as MyMichigan Health.
