Line 5 hearing Aug. 24

The Michigan Public Service Commission will hold an electronic public hearing from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 24 to gather public input on Enbridge Inc.’s plans to relocate a segment of its Line 5 pipeline to a tunnel beneath the Straits of Mackinac, the agency said in a news release.

Members of the public wishing to make comments are urged to register by 3 p.m. Aug. 24 because of the high number of people expected to participate. Register at surveymonkey.com/r/MPSCLine5PublicHearing or by calling 800-292-9555.

The hearing is open to the public, and all members of the public may participate by using the following Microsoft Teams hearing link, https://bit.ly/2P7RVJG, or by calling 248-509-0316 and entering the conference ID number, 998 713 012, followed by #, when prompted.

The MPSC launched website, michigan.gov/MPSCLine5, to enable the public to monitor Enbridge’s requests.

Atlanta’s Ives Realtor

of the Year

The Water Wonderland Board of Realtors has named Diane Ives, of United Country Great Lakes Realty and Auction, as the 2020 Realtor of the Year.

Nominees are evaluated on a combination of educational and business accomplishments and more. Ives is active in the community and manages the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce’s Farmers Market, Water Wonderland said in a news release.
