June 15

9:25 a.m. A semi-truck pulled a powerline down over the road in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and closed the road until the line was fixed.

10:14 a.m. A stray dog was found in Montmorency Township. A deputy responded and brought the dog to the shelter.

12:57 p.m. A pair of aggressive dogs are reported in Albert Township. A deputy responded but was unable to catch the dogs. The deputy later gave the dog’s owner a warning.

2:56 p.m. A missing person was reported in Rust Township. Deputies, Hillman Fire/EMS, Alpena MSP K9, and MSP all searched for several hours until the missing person was found and returned home.

June 16

4:05 p.m. A possibly lost person is seen trying to stop traffic in Briley Township. Deputies responded and checked the individual before the individual returned home.

5:35 p.m. A business owner reported damage to property that was caught on camera. A deputy responded and took a report. The owner was able to get in contact with the subject.

7:30 p.m. A male was reported walking through a crowd and brandishing what seemed to be a weapon in Albert Township. MCSO deputies responded to search for the male who was then reported at a residence after assaulting another individual. The male was placed into custody.

8:13 p.m. An injured dog was reported missing in Albert Township. A trooper later found the dog and returned it to his owner.

June 17

7:21 a.m. A business owner in the Village of Hillman called to report he could see a lot of smoke in the Village. Hillman Fire was dispatched for fire investigation; a bon fire was found and was being watched by the homeowner.

8:39 a.m. A report of a dog running at large was made in Albert Township; contact was made with the owner of the dog.

11:18 a.m. An MCSO officer on routine patrol came upon a disabled vehicle on the side of the road in Rust Township. The officer stopped to assist the motorist.

2:00 p.m. A business in Briley Township called for a verbal dispute in progress in their parking lot. A deputy responded and spoke with all parties involved.

11:23 p.m. Deputies were requested to a residence in Loud Township for a dispute. While en route, the complainant advised the other half was leaving the residence and law enforcement presence was no longer needed.

June 18

6:31 a.m. A tree across the road was reported in Hillman Township. The road commission was advised.

9:53 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Montmorency Township; a report was taken.

12:22 p.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken, and the deer was dispatched.

1:15 p.m. A resident of Albert Township came into the MCSO lobby to report her neighbor’s dogs are frequently loose.

7:36 p.m. A passerby reported a male in the ditch with a motorcycle. Deputies and Hillman EMS responded to the scene. An investigation is still ongoing.

June 19

5:48 a.m. A vehicle/Eagle accident is reported in Hillman Township. A trooper and a deputy responded, a report was made, and the eagle was brought to a DNR field office.

11:16 a.m. An alarm is reported in Briley Township. A deputy responded and the building was secured.

1:32 p.m. A side-by-side and a 4-wheeler are reported driving on the road in Hillman Township. A deputy responded and spoke with the drivers.

2:57 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Albert Township. A deputy attempted to call the individual, but he did not answer. The subject later responded to a text saying he’s okay.

6:46 p.m. A dirt bike is reported to be tearing down a roadway in Albert Township. A trooper responded and spoke with the drivers.

7:49 p.m. A man is reported yelling and throwing things in Briley Township. Deputies and EMS responded, and the individual was taken to the hospital.

8:13 p.m. A group of ORVs is reported trespassing in Vienna Township. A deputy and a trooper responded but were unable to locate the ORVs.

June 20

1:32 a.m. A group of people is reported banging on multiple people’s windows in Hillman Township. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the group.

7:08 p.m. A welfare check was requested on a female in Albert Township. Deputies were able to contact the female who was found to be okay.

10:37 p.m. A resident in Vienna Township made a noise complaint regarding what sounded like gunshots. Deputies responded to the area but were unable to locate the noise.

June 21

4:04 p.m. A pair of dogs was found in someone’s yard in Albert Township. A deputy responded and took the dogs to the shelter.

8:57 p.m. An erratic driver was reported in Briley Township. The driver was unable to maintain their lane and encroached on other drivers. It was later reported that they also hit a guardrail. Deputies responded and spoke with the driver.
