HARRISVILLE — The Alcona County Library announced several upcoming events at its Harrisville branch that people can enjoy.

Artist Trading Cards

Abigail Adams presents an Artist trading cards workshop on July 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. Artist trading cards are small, handmade works of art that can be collected, traded, or shared. This program is open to ages 8 and up. There is no charge to attend.

This event ties into the library’s upcoming “curiosity kits,” which will be available for checkout at the Harrisville branch soon. Both the program and curiosity kits are funded by a grant from the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan. Space is limited, please call 989-724-6796 to register.

Watercolor Workshop

Folks ages eight and up are invited to explore the beauty of watercolor painting with Abigail Adams on July 10, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. Painted Book Edges at the Library

The Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library will host a painted book edges craft on July 11, at 11 a.m.. Participants will decorate the edges of a book using acrylic paint and acrylic paint markers. Bring your own book or choose one provided. For ages 15 and up.
