Inmates housed in Alpena Jail – 13

July 28

9:02 p.m. Deputies responded to a residential burglar alarm in Hillman Township; once at the residence deputies searched the area and made sure the building was secure before clearing.

July 29

12:32 a.m. Deputies made a traffic stop in Albert Township; after talking with the driver the deputies noticed an odor coming from the car and saw an open alcohol contained in the vehicle. The driver was cited for open intoxicants.

10:36 p.m. A deputy responded to a Briley Township business for an alarm that was tripped. The deputy secured the building before clearing.

July 30

5:54 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident of Montmorency Township; an officer responded and found the subject to be fine.

9:20 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a family in Albert Township; MSP Troopers responded to find everyone to be fine.

11:14 a.m. A welfare check was requested on a resident of Albert Township; MSP Trooper responded to the residence to find the subject to be fine.

5:21 p.m. A deputy responded to a dispute in Albert Township. The homeowners were not home and two individuals were told to leave. The deputy escorted the individuals out of the residence.

6:40 p.m. A resident in Albert Township reported a few trees on fire. Albert Township Fire Department responded and found it to be a controlled burn, all fire units cleared.

July 31

2:31 p.m. Hillman and Tri Township Fire Departments responded to a residential fire in Hillman Township.

3:00 p.m. A three vehicle crash was reported in the Village of Hillman. Hillman EMS, Fire, and MCSO deputies responded to the scene.

3:15 p.m. A one vehicle rollover was reported in Albert Township; PIE&G was contacted for a damaged powerline pole and MSP responded to the scene. There were no injuries.

5:13 p.m. An intoxicated driver was reported to MCSO. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle. After an investigation, a male was placed under arrest for OWI high BAC, no security, driving while license revoked, and a FTA warrant.

8:35 p.m. A resident in Albert Township reported a male subject following her and attempting to run her vehicle off of the roadway. While deputies were en route, the male turned around. Deputies and MSP were able to locate the male and advised him he is trespassed from the complainant’s property. The complainant was provided with the steps to obtain a PPO.

Aug. 1

9:09 a.m. A subject came into the lobby with two dogs that were found in Albert Township; a deputy took the animals and brought them to Elk Country Animal Shelter.

5:22 p.m. A deputy responded to a welfare check in Montmorency Township; the subject was found to be okay.

6:23 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken and deputies arrived on scene to dispatch the deer.

Aug. 2

8:52 a.m. Dispatch received a call about a male subject on the reporter’s cameras taking personal property from his cabin. Deputies arrived on scene and found no one in the area, after speaking with the reporter deputies were able to find and put a male subject in custody and lodge them at Alpena County Jail.

11:53 p.m. Dispatch received notification of a possible drunk driver in Albert Township; deputies were in the area and stopped the vehicle. After investigating the deputies put the male subject in custody and was lodged at Alpena County Jail.

Aug. 3

1:06 a.m. A deputy responded to reports of a vehicle driving at an excessive rate of speed in Briley Township; after searching the area the deputy was UTL.

11:59 a.m. An MSP Trooper made a traffic stop in Avery Township; the subject was showing to have an active warrant out of Alpena County. The trooper put the subject in custody and lodged them in Alpena County Jail.
