Catherine Steffanus and Zachary James Gagnon were married at the Eglise Saint-Croix in Postroff, France, on Nov. 9, 2013. Father Jacques Mpia Bekina presided over the Catholic ceremony.

The maid of honor was Audrey Bachmann of Baerendorf, France. The best man was Nicholas William Prevo of Kalamazoo. The ceremony was followed by a reception in Hilbesheim, France.

Catherine is a graduate of the University of Strasbourg. Zachary is a 2004 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Michigan University. The couple resides in Berlin, Germany.
