Schalk/Lumsden

Stephanie Christine Schalk and Adam James Lumsden exchanged their wedding vows June 22, 2013 at Long Rapids Congregational Church in Lachine. Pastor Jeff Londgren officiated the 1:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Galen and Suzanne Schalk of Hillman. The groom is the son of Howard and Gloria Lumsden of Lachine.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was her friend, Jennifer Webber. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Alexandria David and Kellie Cantle, and sister-in-law of the groom, Jen Lumsden. Junior bridemaid was Brooke Jones, cousin of bride. Flower girl was niece Isabelle Lumsden.

Attending the groom as best man was his friend, Ryan Lucas. Groomsmen were Aaron Christensen, friend of groom, Christopher Schalk, brother of the bride, and Nicholas Lumsden, brother of groom. Junior groomsman was Gage Steinke, cousin of bride. Serving as ushers were Travis Niedbala and Doug Fras, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was nephew George Lumsden.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in honor of the newlyweds at Hillman Community Center.

Stephanie is a graduate from Hillman High School. She received an Associate’s Degree in EMS Management from Baker College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Central Michigan University. She is employed by Allied EMS, Hillman Fire Department and Oscoda County EMS. Adam is a graduate from Alpena High School. He is currently employed by Alpena County Central Dispatch and Long Rapids Fire Department. The couple will spend their honeymoon in Hawaii in the spring. They are residing in Hillman.
