Catholic Central High School class ‘61, celebrates 65 years

ALPENA - Catholic Central High School class of 1961 will celebrate its 65 year class reunion on July 25 with a mass at St. Anne’s at 4 p.m. followed by a tour of the Boys and Girls Club building at 5:15 p.m. This building is what remains of the class’s old school building, the gym, and cafeteria. 5K Color Run

ALPENA — The Sunrise Centre in Alpena is hosting its 5k Color Run and Fitness Fun Event on Saturday at the Alpena County Fairgrounds. The run or walk promises to be fun for people of all levels and family fitness station activities and recovery awareness stations will be set up. There will also be live entertainment, a magician and comedian, at 1 p.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and is $10.
