New Life Christian Fellowship hosting Gospel and Contemporary Worship Fest

Randy and Marli Brown

The community is warmly invited to a Gospel and Contemporary Worship Fest on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 6:30 PM at New Life Christian Fellowship, 317 S. Ripley Blvd., Alpena.

The evening features Randy and Marli Brown. A dynamic duo, the Browns are known to delight and ignite audiences with their good humor and passion. The evening will include a blend of classic hymns, old-time Gospel songs, and contemporary praise and worship songs interlaced with personal stories and humorous incidents from their lives.

The Browns will also share their music and spiritual insights on Sunday, October 2nd at New Life’s 10 a.m. worship celebration.

Randy was trained in classical music and has a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and Composition from Tyndale Bible College. His music includes a wide range of classical, jazz, big band, boogie and swing. He likes to say that he is committed to using all eighty-eight keys of the piano, although when he travels, he uses a Nord keyboard.

Marli graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from William Tyndale Bible College. She is a gifted speaker and a dynamic storyteller, as well as an author and musician.

They spent the first eight years of their married life traveling while living in a motor home. This season in their lives inspired Marli’s book, “Ridin’ Shotgun.” In 2013 they bought a house in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area that serves as a ministry home and office. They continue to travel the United States, performing at churches and other venues.
