Richard and Patricia Kennedy of Werth Road, Alpena, are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on Sunday. They were married Aug. 25, 1983 in Alpena.

Richard is retired from the Port Huron Paper Company while Patricia spent her years as a homemaker.

The couple’s children are Rick Kennedy of Port Huron, Bob (Julie) Kennedy of Marysville, Donald (Diane) Smith of Alpena, Karen (Ted) Dziesinski of Alpena, Mike (Linda) Smith of Alpena, Sue (Doug) Smith of Gaylord, Doug (Amanda) Smith of Alpena and Elissa (Richard) Allen of Presque Isle. Together they have 11 grandchildren: Shauna, Carla, Jeff, Cory, Amanda, Jessie, Jammie, Daniel, Ashley, Kayla and Brianna. They also have five great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Rachel, Nick, Tylor and Maxson.
