Living Hope Senior Tea Thursday

ALPENA — Living Hope Church will host a Senior Tea for adults age 55 and older at 1 p.m. on Thursday. This event is free and open to the public. Join other seniors for fellowship and afternoon tea at the church, located at 1499 M-32, Alpena.

Diversity support meeting to change time on May 7

ALPENA — Bay View Center hosts a diversity support meeting at 6 p.m. each Tuesday. This weekly potluck is for those in the LGBTQ community, their families, and supporters, at Bay View Center, 710 N. 2nd Ave.

The time will be changed to 4 p.m. starting on May 7. If you have questions, call 989-340-0955.

Thunder Bay Arts Gallery open Monday through Saturday

ALPENA — Thunder Bay Arts Council Gallery, 127 W. Chisholm St. in Alpena, features 25 local artists’ work on display and for sale.

Kamara Marsh is the featured artist for April.

Spring and summer hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Bridge results noted

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club results have been announced for this week.

Beverley Rousseau and Marcy Sherman topped the competition with a first-place win. Jan Kane and Ron Young finished in second place, followed by Jackie Kennedy and Loretta Reynolds in third.

Masons to host soup and pie dinner Friday

ALPENA — Alpena Hopper Lodge #199 hosts soup and pie dinners on the third Friday of each month, from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is welcome, and the cost is by donation. The lodge is located at 1020 U.S.-23 North, Alpena.
