Potato Pancake Dinner Sat. at St. Matthew Church in Herron

HERRON — St. Matthew Lutheran Church will host a potato pancake dinner from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, open to the public. The cost is $15 per adult, $5 per child ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than age 5.

The menu includes potato pancakes, sausage, homemade desserts, and beverages.

Spuds and Splits Feb. 9 at Peace Lutheran in Rogers City

ROGERS CITY — Spuds and Splits will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out on Friday, Feb. 9 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1401 M-68 Hwy., Rogers City.

The menu includes a loaded baked potato with your choice of toppings, and a banana split or sundae with various toppings. The cost is $8 per adult, and $4 per child ages 12 and younger.

Lyl Dia to perform free Christian rap concert Feb. 9

HUBBARD LAKE — Christian rap artist Lyl Dia will perform a free concert on Friday, Feb. 9 at Hope Lutheran Church, 5462 Nicholson Hill Road, Hubbard Lake.

The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. Freewill offerings will be accepted for the youth group.

ALPENA — Alpena Duplicate Bridge Club winners for this week have been announced.

Gordon Bennett and Marge French tied for first place with Dale Middleditch and Eve Phillips. Beverley Rousseau and Marge Sherman placed second, and Carolyn Belton and Judie Vivian came in third place.
