Alpnea man arraigned for sexual assault

ALPENA — A 33-year-old Alpena man was arraigned on Tuesday in the 26th Circuit Court for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor.

Christopher Gray is currently facing one count of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree with someone under the age of 13, and one count of criminal sexual conduct, assault with the intent to commit sexual penetration.

According to a press release by the Alpena Police Department, Gray was first arrested on Feb. 21 after the officers responded to a disturbance call which ultimately led to interviewing victims of the assault. Gray was arraigned in the 88th District Court on Feb. 26.

On April 12, Gray underwent a competency hearing to see if he was competent enough to stand trial for his charges. The district court ultimately found Gray competent enough to stand trial and on April 24 Gray was bound to circuit court. Officers from the Alpena Police Department are working in conjunction with the Alpena County.

Also in court on Tuesday:

∫ Tyler Anderson was sentenced to 90 days of incarceration with credit for 19 days after pleading guilty to one count of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree.

∫ David Lozano had his sentence for delivery of methamphetamines adjourned to a later date.

Lozano pled guilty to two counts of controlled substance delivery

According to Alpena County Prosecutor Cynthia Muszynski, after pleading guilty the delay is the consequence of Lozano not meeting with the parole and probation court after pleading guilty.

∫ Andrew Kozlowski was sentenced to 12 months of incarceration with credit for 163 days for resisting a police officer.
