ALPENA — The Besser Male Chorus would like to welcome all to summer by closing out spring with their Spring Concert Series.

The chorus continues to add new members each season and has spent months rehearsing to provide a great show.

Concerts kick off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at First United Methodist Church on Ripley Boulevard. The next performance will be at 7 p.m. on Friday at New Beginnings Church on the corner of County Road 459 and 624 near the airport in Hillman. The season will conclude with a matinee performance at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Each show is intended to be identical, with three sets of songs by the full chorus intermixed with instrumentals and two songs by the Besser Quartet. Donations will be greatly appreciated to continue to provide quality shows.

The Besser members are excited to offer a variety of songs to include various selections of Stage and Screen, Patriotism and Peace, and a section just labeled as Potpourri. Several choices of music were new to the chorus, providing opportunities in preparation. All in all, the chorus members hope all patrons enjoy the experience of live chorus music.

Appreciation goes out to the Besser Company in their continued support over the 76 years of music. Also, appreciation to Sports Unlimited for logistical support and everyone who, without their help, the chorus would not be able to exist.
